Aire Innovate has announced a major enhancement to its AireForms platform, introducing an AI-powered capability that enables NHS organisations to convert existing documents into fully functional digital forms in seconds.

Despite ongoing digital transformation efforts, a significant proportion of NHS workflows remain reliant on paper and static documents. Industry analysis and NHS-focused reports consistently indicate that approximately half of forms in many organisations still exist as paper or non-interactive PDFs(1).

Digitising these forms has traditionally required specialist technical input and weeks of development time, creating a major bottleneck to progress.

The new AireForms AI capability removes this barrier.

By uploading any document, including photographs of paper forms, word documents, PDFs, images or spreadsheets, the AI analyses the content, understands structure and context, and automatically generates a complete digital form with fields and logic applied.

It works for operational, patient-facing and clinical forms. For example, a lengthy community nursing wound assessment form spanning multiple pages with diagrams and checklists, can now be converted into structured digital form in minutes. 

Once digitised, there is the option for a form to be further optimised by applying one or more of  AireForms’ existing customisation options, including adding photo capture, autopopulating patient demographics, automating clinical scoring algorithms, multi-language support, integration with NHS systems such as EPR, PDS, and real-time reporting.

With this release, Aire Innovate is enabling NHS organisations to tackle one of the biggest remaining barriers to digital transformation - unlocking scalable, rapid digitisation of legacy processes.
